School Publisher’s Picnic Focuses on STEM Careers at Keystone Academy Charter School in Tacony Friday

Keystone Academy Charter School will hold its annual Publishers’ Picnic on Friday, May 22, 2026, a culmination of a year-long student book project. Students in kindergarten through 8th grade research and write a book on a science topic. This year’s theme is STEM careers. Students will present their books and dedicate them to family members.

Background
The Publishers’ Picnic is a culmination of the students’ school year-long work, during which they gradually crafted their books chapter by chapter, adding content as they learn from various science class lessons. During the picnic, students will present their books to their parents. Students create nine science books by the time they graduate in 8th grade.
